oh yea and how about Marion Barber, did you hear that stat? He leads the league in broken tackles...and he doesn't even start. He's a monster.

brandon jacobs has been pretty effective also. i'm surprised the giants don't run him more. of course they are 11 points behind now, but they were only 4 out. they should have run jacobs more.

Brandon Jacobs is a bruiser, but he doesn't really break tackles like Barber. He just runs straight up the middle and maybe runs someone over for 2-3 more yards. Barber can break a tackle on the outside and gain another 10 yards. You don't see Jacobs do that very often.

You haven't been watching him very much, also he has been plagued with injuries this season.

i don't think eli will even get to Romo's level as far as an NFL QB. he's got some skills but he can't seem to put it all together.

his Delay of Game penalites (and yes, they were his fault no one elses) are just another example of his ineptitude as a big time qb.

so what's the cause of all the delay of game penalties, especially since they're playing in giants stadium?

Giants stabbed themselves in the back again and again, you can't expect to win football games with those kinds of penalties.
But the bottom line is the Cowboys are a much better team than the Giants, and it showed today.
Penalties, missed tackles, poor execution... those are not the hallmarks of winning teams.
The division is all but locked up. Giants will have to fight for the wildcard.

Bottom line:
Cowboys > Giants
Romo > Eli
TO > Giants secondary

Oh well.
Go giants.

Aside from penalties, the game was lost on the line. The vaunted Giants pass rush could not really get to Romo or hurry him. And when you rush guys and dont get there you're leaving TO one on one which is not a good idea. The Dallas O line should all go to the pro bowl.

They did a decent job the first quarter and most of the second. But I really attribute that more to Romo needing time to warm up...he's never really looked impressive at the start of any game.

Great game by Shockey (who I *hate*)...this game just went to show whose tops in the NFC.

And the Cowboys had more than their fair share of penalties...I screamed at the tv a lot today

I thought Romo looked good out of the gate.
Giants played an excellent first half, offensively and defensively, but the pass rush was not really getting there. The secondary made some plays.

That 2nd pick doesn't count! He just threw it up there in the final seconds.
But good call anyway.

haha, I was close....I said 27-13, it was 31-20...only 3 off on the differential anyway.

The Giants pass rush impressed me. I was honestly thinking it was overrated, but they were consistantly on Romo's face all day...problem is Dallas has too many weapons to be contained. Brandon Jacobs as a whole has been running better than I expected him to - I believe his 95 yards was the most on the ground against Dallas so far this year.

Dallas is continuing to turn it on when the game is on the line, finishing off teams when it matters. Romo looks great, 23 TDs and 2 rushing on the year so far. Can't wait to see what happens when (if) Terry Glenn comes back in a few weeks, hopefully in time for the HUUUGE green bay game.

I was at the game - 5th row seats behind the DAL bench. What a fun game. I sat right behind T.O and got to see him taunt the crowd after his 2 TDs. The fans loved it, and he loved it too

I think the Giants are ok, but I think the cowboys are good. As I predicted earlier, cowboys by 10 but pulling away late (late 3rd or 4th).

So I didn't call an exact score like you did, but I still did pretty good, too. Props to both of us.

And so it begins. Another of the Lil' General's now famous Second Half Swoons. Let's watch the Giants go in the tank at Detroit next week. Bye bye, Tom.
If a Tom Coughlin coached team can win one big game, just one, I'll lay off the old coot. But until then, he is problem numero uno with this organization. Followed by the slowest LB's in the League. Youth and speed in the draft, Reese?

You're correct, and you make my point. Stahan is at the end of his career and should be a situational player only. With Tuck and Kiwi available to play DE, the decision to play Strahan belongs on Coughlin's shoulders. His personnel decisions always baffle. One more reason to can his sorry ass.

I dont understand the bashing of Strahan. He forced a fumble and was in Romo's face a few times. I also dont understand the the bashing of the Giants D line. They arent gonna be in Romo's face every damn play. The game was lost on the Giants safeties. Wilson sucks and needs to go. Butler sucks but at least they played Johnson. Eli also needs to go. Ive been a big supporter of him but after watching this game its clear. Hes not on the same level as the top qb's in the league. No i dont expect him to be like Brady or his brother but look at Romo, Anderson, Big Ben, etc.
