Gigabyte board -cant enable xmp

Just assembled GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 with i7 6700k and 4 8 gb modules of ripjaws 2100 DDR4 memory- have been able to sucessfully boot and install Win 10 and no reboots so far-was able to boot with 2 and 4 modules both - memory is 15-15-15-35 but bios is timed to 15-15-15-36 . Thought I would enable xmp and that would fix it- but xmp is not available in bios! - not greyed out - just not there! Bios is f5 ( the most recent is f6 , but is a beta) - I am not an overclocker- but need a stable board - any idea what I can do to get xmp available??

I'm going to assume you mean DDR4 2133 instead of DDR4 2100. If you bought DDR4 2133, you won't be able to run a XMP profile. However, you still might be able to manually overclock it.

XMP is an automatic 'overclock' profile that runs RAM at its rated speed.

As for the timings you mentioned, 15-15-15-35 and 15-15-15-36 is insignificant, and not worth worrying about or changing. It's possible the board did that for stability purposes.

2133 is correct. Not so interested in overclocking as stability-surprised the board changed it settings as the memory is on their approved list. I do photo and video not gaming- If I overclocked anything it would likely just be my cpu

No problem. Sometimes when running large amounts of RAM (like 8 GB in all four channels that you are doing), the motherboard might adjust the timings slightly for stability. However, there is literally no performance difference with the tRAS changing from 35 to 36.

Thanks again for your help- Now to tidy up the wiring and close it up!
