Hello.
I have a Z97n WiFi board that on top of its original problem (sys fan which controls my H60 pump would reset back to normal from high after approx 20 sleep/resume cycles...also happens with stock cooler) now has a bizarre problem.
If I turn my PC off with the PSU switch then all is good. However, if I do it the normal way (from within windows or with front button, whether in windows or BIOS) then the next time it fires up, the GB logo shows, the screen goes black then the GB logo shows up again which indicates the BIOS has reset to defualt.
I have tested with new PSU, ram, cooler, discrete, onboard graphics, nothing connected...al the same.
The only thing I have not been able to test is the CPU...does anyone think that this could be the culprit? All testing done from stock but that's irrelevant as the BIOS resets to default anyway.
GB have had it back twice and found nothing wrong with it the second time (1st time needed a new BIOS as it wouldn't boot regardless of what I flashed) but I have now pinned it down to the above set of circumstances which their test bench obviously doesn't pick up on.
Any ideas? It's going back again soon but I'm very interested to hear any thoughts.
Thanks a lot.
