So what is the highest OC with the 6600 and the DQ6 have you seen? I personally have the DQ6 and the 6300 and am Prime95 stable for 24 hours at 3.5GHz (500MHz FSB).
I ask because my coworker has the 6700 and the ASUS P5B and is not getting much love with his overclocking. I am curious if the DQ6 would be a better choice for him (I absolutly love the DQ6).
Your speed is among the highest I've seen
Would you be nice and post your MIT settings?
I can reach 450 with 6x multiplier but didn't even try more, as the CPU seems to be the problem (I have to jack up the VCore above 3.2GHz and that would take the core temp above 61C under load).
I though about placing my E6400 into the DS4 and the E6300 into the DQ6, to see if something changes. I have the feeling the E6300 could go higher than the E6400.
I have a couple of pics of my MIT settings about midway through this link:

At 3.5GHz my load temps are about 62c (speed fan) and 71c(Core Temp). I am not too worried about it since the TCaseMax of this proc is 85c.
Make sure that your memory can handle the speed. I replaced my Value Select with some Corsair 6400C4. This memory is stable running 1000MHz @ 5-5-5-15 or 800MHz @ 4-4-4-12. Right now the memory is the bottleneck (again). If I wanted to plop down some fat coin and get some of that $500 DDR2 8000 or 8500 and then my wall would be cooling.
I am going to lap my proc and see what that does for my temps then ponder a water cooling solution. I am aiming for this 3.5GHz in a totaly silent setup.
Many many thanks!!
I have OCZ Gold good for DDR2 1000, I will try your settings. I learned also that changing memory from NORMAL to FAST or TURBO is necessary for higher FSB.
Can you link to the exact Corsair 6400C4 you are using? I think there are more than one version.
Corsair was the best for me in the past, but I don't have so much access to it at the moment - few stores carry it at the moment near my home. I had very good results with 1GB DDR Ballistix Kit and 2GB DDR OCZ Platinum kit.
PS: Take off the "covers" on the heatsinks on the mosfet and northbridge (the one with the 6 quad and the gigabyte one). They only prevent proper cooling by the heatsink fins. Use a flat screwdriver and from the sides carefully force them up - hold the heatsink with your other hand to avoid tearing it from the mobo. The top cover comes off easily.
