what are u smoking? this is not the regular price.. this is definitely a good deal.. E6300 is about $200 elsewhere and the board is $145 at least.. so this looks like a decent offer from newegg.. damn their shipping..

I just checked and their prices are so high that the combo maybe saves you $10 off the seperate shipped prices from other reputable mongers. I did not bother checking for combo prices elsewhere. Still shens.

Despite all the hoopla over their original Conroe prices, NewEgg is still my favorite online retailer. I am always willing to pay slightly more at NewEgg because of their great customer service. In this case, I believe this is the cheapest price at this moment in time for this combo. And even if it isn't the absolute cheapest, it is going to be very, very close, in which case I would still buy from NewEgg.

lol since when was there so much newegg hate going down.

Even if newegg does cost more without the combo discount it's not like stores aren't allowed to set prices to whatever they want. Plus ZZF has been dropping prices on the E6300 over the last few days anyway so that's probably made the newegg price difference (without the discount) seem bigger than it used to be.

Anyways...I'm gonna see if they have a good combo deal on the 6600...this is a good deal but the 6300's low multiplier is kinda a problem for me.

Does it make sense? Indubitability! $25 off competitive prices would be a deal, perhaps even a Hot Deal. $25 off high prices in this case is just a competetive price wrapped in disingenuousness and is hardly worth posting and if anything deserves scorn rather than praise. Indeed, the example $10 savings is possible compared to paying individual shipping for each item from other different retailers, which further demonstrates how uncompetitive newegg's prices are (that $25 off is required to be equivalent).

It's a good deal regardless. I don't care if the combo is normally $1,000 and they have a $669.01 discount to bring it down to $330.99. It's still cheaper than anywhere else, period. On top of they, they've got arguably the best customer service out there.

Man, it's so tempting but I can't afford RAM sdfpoijasdf, maybe they'll toss a triple combo up for us uber poor folk sometime. Anyways, great deal--probably the cheapest anywhere for the "low-end" Core 2--most of the other places I have seen combos for start with the E6600 which is pretty hefty for people (like me) who have to be cheap.

$10 is $10. Your blind hatred for Newegg is simply threadcrapping. You have people posting the lowest price for 2 of the most popular items out there for computer enthusiasts. While it's not an extraordinary deal, it is the hottest deal available for these 2 items.
