WTH.....I just bought this thing last Wednesday and this happens. Also, I dorede overnight shipping and it took two days to get to me because it sat in the salt lake facility for 1 more day.

other than that it is a good motherboard, just be sure to update the bios to f6 or f8 because it is not stable with f3.

Looks to have been early bios issues. Note that newegg stresses "w/ latest BIOS update".

This will go into the new HTPC as soon as i can get a good E8400 price.

A review below. The reviewer didn't have much luck OC'ing an 8400 in this board. He only got to 3.6Ghz as his max OC. He didn't mention what cooling he was using or what settings he tried though. Its a low OC though.

Overclocking results depend on several variables. He didn't mention his best OC with that cpu on other motherboards (or maybe I missed it). No OC is guaranteed. The same review claims that it is a respectable overclock for an economy motherboard.

Only consistent negative that I see is that it ships with an older BIOS. If you do not feel comfortable updating the BIOS, this is probably not the motherboard for you.

Hmm, I had problems with BIOS Version F7 on the EP45-DS3L (F8 is latest version, and I think I returned the motherboard before August 18th when F8 was released, though my memory is fuzzy), so I'm not sure what that fixes if anything, or if I just had a faulty board). My hardware worked perfectly on the discontinued (and wonderful) EP35-DS3L (I was building two nearly identical machines). I had to settle with the EP35-DS3R ($$$ for features I didn't need), since I needed a working motherboard right away (and they didn't cell the EP35-DS3L at the local Microcenter anymore)...

I guess you could take a chance, but I personally wouldn't (I'd stick with the P35).
