I recently built a new computer with a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H with a Phenom II 545 and 4 GB PC8500 DDR2. I've run CPUID Hardware Monitor on occasion to check on system temperatures and left it running during various tasks. Most of the temperatures seems fine, running in the 30's when idle and the 40's when under load. But one temperature sensor gets pretty high--"TMPIN1" can get as high as 61 degrees.
Does anybody know what "TEMPIN1" represents? I'm guessing it's probably the Northbridge. About 75% of the time, its temperature is under 50 degrees, but when I'm doing something CPU intensive (or GPU intensive, I think... is Direct3D assessment in Windows Experience just GPU, or also CPU?), it hits 59-61 degrees very quickly. 10 seconds of Prime95 pushed the temperature to 60 degrees. Should I do something about this, or is it OK as it is?
This has become a popular board since it was released. If anybody out there has this board, what kind of temperatures do you get? You can download Hardware Monitor here: http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php
