OK guys, got my arse handed to me by an electrical storm. Looks like the APC's couldn't handle the electrical crap thrown at them so i lost my cable box on one unit while the other with computer and associated equipment took a major hit. I came home to the computer rebooting itself. Thinkin the power supply was having problems i swapped it out... forgot the outlet the computer was plugged into was the APC. Finally remember that after it crapped out again(by crap out i mean power down and restart), connect it to the wall and it hasn't rebooted at all. But there is one problem, the OS can't find the onboard ethernet controller. Tried to "fix" the installation and Gigabyte's program came back and said it couldn't find it. Checked the bios and the only thing in the peripherals having to do with the LAN was a cable test and that was greyed out, it would appear the BIOS doesn't see the controller. Question is, is there any other way I can get the ethernet controller running or do I need to get a NIC? The test will be no issues while iRacing once I get the LAN up. As of right now, music and other stuff seems to be working.
