Just wondering why you're throwin a bone when Buy.com is selling the same series of card (3870) for the same price as your "price mistake". Guess they are "losing" their shirt on this deal to.

Why don't you're marketing people go and get some decent rebates to be competitive with other companies and then come back and post some deals. All of this feel good goodwill by ewiz is a bunch of junk.

Yea guys ewiz is not the only one that has this policy- Price, specifications and terms of offers are subject to change without notice. Newegg.com is not responsible for typographical and/or photographical errors. Retail products are accompanied by the original manufacturer warranty. Newegg.com does not offer any technical support or sales advice. Customer pays return shipping charges for all RMA services. Newegg.com reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
althought i havent seen newegg mess up on pricing, it is there incase they do. so $hit happens.

Actually they have, many times. Each time someone makes a pricing mistake on newegg though, NewEgg honors thier price. I'll never buy anything from a company who has no accountability for thier own mistakes.

That is plain idiotic. that they dont honor their mistakes , so you wont buy from them?

its not like ewiz does this every week or something. the only reason every store puts those disclaimers on everything is people like you class action lawsuited buy.com 6-7 years ago for a 19" monitor for $120 that really cost $600 or something.

Well, its easy to see that you don't think you should be accountable for your own mistakes Hans. I'm to the point in my life where I started openly taking credit for my mistakes and paying my dues, then I abruptly go on with my life. Without accountability you're just another worthless prick who thinks they are above being held responsible for thier own actions.

I'm on the other end of the scope compared to eWiz when it comes to finances, but at least I keep to my word. If I screw up and tell someone something then it turns out I was wrong, I bite the bullet. You have no clue how much I've paid out of my pocket to cover my lazy or just plain shoot first look later mistakes. Everytime I screw up a price quote here in the shop I give the customer the part at the orriginal quoted price then I just cover the mistake by working off the clock till my mistake is covered.

I suppose the people at eWiz believes that if they point a gun at someone then pull the trigger, they aren't responsible for what happens next ? Sad thing is, its the same thing as what your worthless company did with that video card. You screwed up and you don't think you're accountable for it.

I think this thread needs to be locked before the forum catches fire. Obviously eWiz has no interest in honouring thier prices so who wants to deal with them ? SHipping is higher than newegg, prices are higher than newegg, thier standards are lower than newegg. Will it never end ? I see reduced sales for eWiz in the future if this keeps up.

Diamond Viper

After rebate $94.99. There are always 5% coupons out there so comes to $87.24. The Ewiz deal was $82 PLUS shipping, and the shipping was HIGH, in my case $12 plus change. Total was $94 pus change.

So Buy.com had the same deal but with rebate, (no biggie) and less with a 5% coupon or $25 GCO.

Mattc421... some people have reported that Diamond has been a PITA to get rebates from. So YMMV on that deal.

this is my last post on this thread, i dont want to whore it out with useless topics. if you have more questions pm me and ill answer them.

REMEBER IT IS NOT A LAW TO HONOR PRICES. NOT EVERY COMPANY SHOULD FOLLOW NEWEGGS SERVICE ROLE. IF THEY CHOOSE TO HONOR PRICES, THEN THATS UP TO THEM. JUST BECAUSE WE DIDNT HONOR A PRICE MISTAKE, DONT THINK WE DONT CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS.

ALSO FOR SHIPPING WE ARE WORKING ON IT. IT IS ON OUR LIST OF THINGS TO DO, BUT WE ARE ATTENDING TO OTHER THINGS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF FIRST. OTHER COMPANIES MAY PUSH MORE VOLUME THAN WE DO SO THEY ARE ABLE TO GET CHEAPER SHIP RATES. THIS POINT WILL BE ADDRESSED IN MY MEETINGS TO PUSH IT AS A TOP PRIORITY TO MEET OUR CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION. BUT IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO, I WILL PUSH HARD TO BALANCE THE SHIPPING WITH PROMOTION CODES TO GIVE YOU GUYS GREAT DEALS.

ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE PM ME.

Took some guts to come in and own up. Kudos. I rarely get a price mistake deal completed. This is the norm. An industry standard. Hard to believe some folks still get their knickers twisted over it. It's what's to be expected. Yeah, I would like it otherwise, nothing like free money on occasion.
You folks have done well for me in the past. cost plus shipping beat the other contenders at the time.
Some folks are apparently just too dazed and confused. It's like their girl left them at the altar, again. Criminy, get a grip. Head over to the wootoff for your ebayable deals.

the diamond deal is with a $60 mail in rebate for god sakes.

from diamond themselves assuming you get it. theres a huge difference to the store if the manufacturer is offering a rebate that may or may not come vs. selling it at the post rebate price. that said, i fully do not expect to ever get these type of deals (though occassionally its nice to be pleasantly surprised, i.e. recent acomdata outpost.com deal).

that said, even in the acomdata deal it was rare. frys has canceled those type of deals TONs of times. i dont think this is a case of responsibility as the "crackhead" who is talking about the responsibility of shooting someone and taking responsibility for it seems to think that murder is some how the equivalent of not honoring a price mistake.

i guess this was my first and last dealing with newbiz/ewiz.

not surprised that they had changed their name and they may have to change it again if they keep pulling stunts like this.

Haven't dealt with Newbiiz before, but I've bought a few things from ewiz. There's nothing wrong with them... they just arent big enough to swallow these kind of price mistakes like newegg has in the past, and the people demanding it of them are probably fourteen year olds spending mommy and daddies money who don't know the first damn thing about economics.

Here's hoping mods lock this sucker down.
