Gigabyte MB's exhibit higher CPU/Case temperature ?

I just read in a old thread in our MB forum that the gigabyte motherboards result in very high case and cpu temperatures. Is this true really ? I have been seeing 60c-66c on my cpu ever since I got a gigabyte and I have been assuming that its just the heat in the city !!!

Can anyone throw some light on this ? Especially because Im buying the GA-K8NSC-939 MB tomoroow for my AMD64 setup and do not want another hot case in my hot city.

what mobo do you currently have? do you have the latest bios?
its been thought reagrding sevral brands to report higher temps than those in reality.
what cooling do you use?

I haven't noticed that, I have a Gigabyte 8IK1100 motherboard, my case temps are in the mid to low 30's. My 3.06ghz P4 @3.45ghz with a Thermalright XP-120 runs at around 52c under load. I also have a gigabyte 8IP775 with a 3.2prescott @ 3.46ghz. Idles at around 38c, 57c under full load, not sure about case temps.

I just built an almost identical system with a DFI board that i have below for a gamer in michigan, the temps were within +- 2 degrees...

IMO it might just be the software reporting everything a little high
