Is there an idiots guide to overclocking these things? There are so many parameters I don't know where to start! ...
I have a Core 2 Duo E6600 and 2GB of DDR2-800 Kingston RAM. I'm not a gamer. My main application is video editing and I want to spead up the rendering and encoding process...
Wow this is dead on to my situation... Exactly same hardware, same requirements, (same) first post! I have built my share of systems, even for city governments... sadly I have never OC'd anything. I think I remember it being easy, with only a few options to deal with - on systems I saw tweeked out back in the day! I am mightly confused about how to do a basic, reliable OC on my system. I am pretty sure my hardware is good enough, to OC w/ air cool only what do you think my target should be 3Ghz? P
LEASE could some one step me through it?
