Hi

Recently upgraded to the following:

Intel Core 2 Duo E2200 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.20GHz (800FSB) - Retail
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK) (Deal Product)

And I am having a few issues

For some reason my Auzentech HDA X-Mystique PCI sound card and Hauppauge Nova-T PCI card are not detected in vista properly, nor were they detected properly in winxp. They appear in device manager with the exclamation mark next to them but when I point to the right drivers it fails to install sayings windows could not find drivers for your device. Also when I try to run the installation setups for the drivers it fails to detect the PCI cards. I have one other PCI Card with is an Atheros 5005GS wireless card which installs fine and have had no problems with, I have tried this in all the PCI slots and it works fine.
Vista did manage to install the soundcard once just randomly after a reboot, but didnt detect the tv card. Since then I have moved the PCI cards into different slots and neither of them are now being detected.

These issues have occurred before and after SP1 installation and I have installed the latest chipset drivers and latest motherboard BIOS.

Any help is much appreciated.

Has anyone had to RMA their P35-DQ6? My PC wouldn't boot one morning and I tried the recommended troubleshooting to no avail so I got an rma. They have had the board almost a month and still no answer. Luckily I found a P35-DS3L for cheap at Compusa's inventory clearance so I have a rig but I can't ever recall a RMA taking this long especially since it was sent to a facility in California where I reside. Just curious if anyone had a P35 fail and whether they were satisfied with Gigabytes RMA process. I am starting to think I may not buy another Gigabyte motherboard as I have had much better support from both Asus and MSI in the past.

quick question, just got the p35-ds3p board. the system is stable and runs fine. the only quirk is that on every reboot, it emits a low beep that lasts just a split second longer than the normal on post beep. any idea what this is and what it means?

Try to disable " CPU FAN FAIL WARNING ". I had the same thing with 965p ds3 and p35 ds3. The cpu fan would not start spinning immediately after reboot and that was causing the beep warning.

Hey all,

I'm troubleshooting a problem I thought was a HD issue (hard lockups, slow HD loading) on my Asus P5B Deluxe, but i've since replaced the HD with a new one and I'm still having the same issue. so I ran out to Fry's and got an open box GA-P35-DS3L and some new RAM to see if that was my problem.. tried the RAM and I was still having issues.

So I put everything into the DS3L (rev 2.0) and this thing won't boot up. I press the power button and I get nothing. And I don't see an LED on the motherboard anywhere? I've built several computers and this is the first time I've had this happen. I'm guessing it's DOA and that's the reason it was returned to Fry's.

I have the 12V connected, and the 24-pin connected. I know the PSU works because it's the same one I just used in the P5B Deluxe (same case).

And although I've built several systems, the case wiring is always a bitch for me because I can never remember if the arrow/colored wire is positive or negative. Shouldn't really matter too much, but I've tried the case connectors every which way with no luck.

My case (Antec P182) has Power LED, HDD LED I, HDD LED II, Reset SW and Power SW.

So besides wiring, 4-pin ATX 12V and 24-pin ATX connectors.. what bonehead mistake have I made?

I'm seriously thinking someone f'd this mobo and returned it to Fry's and I'm just unlucky.

Thanks for any help.
