Gigabyte Z170 BIOS with Dual-Link DVI

Hey all, I wonder if any of you have run into this issue.

I just purchased a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 and i5-6600K.
I plugged everything in and got... nothing

The first monitor I attempted to use was one of the el cheapo korean 2560x1440 monitors that only use dual-link DVI.
I connected it to the DVI coming off the motherboard (no video card attached) and there was no output, although the screen would turn on.
I eventually scrounged up a 1920x1080 screen and connected it using the same cable; it displayed the BIOS and windows just fine.

So my question is: does the Skylake integrated graphics not support dual-link DVI? Or is it the motherboard? Or is it just the monitor?

Ah, thanks, should have RTFM...

This monitor has no scalar but it has worked with many other computers so I just figured that something I bought in 2015 would be able to drive it.

You may not even be able to get the HDMI to work on that board despite the specs. I have an old Z97 Gigabyte board that supposedly supports the same resolutions as posted by LTC8K6 above, and I can't run an Auria 276W at 2560x1440 without dropping down to 30Hz. Same cable, same monitor works on an XFX 290X DD at that resolution at 60Hz.
