The Ginsu knife does everything in the commercial that it advertises except cut chicken, beef, fish, butter, bread, any vegatables, chopping, dicing, slicing, etc.. This knife is not intended to be used in a kitchen. It is very sharp and you would think that it would work very well, but with the odd serration of the blade, it tends to shred food products. The few times I used the knife really hacked up the item I was cutting and scratched up (NOT cut) the wooden chopping block I was using.
