I'm not sure if I would try to surrender her custody to a research hospital
I'm sure FBI is gonna be really busy if that happened.
Why not? If we could exploit this opportunity to it's fullest, we might one day unlock the key to eternal youth. What is one life compared to the benefits to mankind?
Anyway, there is always a sliver lining. She can get into any amusement park or sporting event for free for her whole life.
Only problem is she can't ride all the good stuff because of how short she is.
My niece is in her early 20s and still looks and acts like she's 9. I am serious. It could be a more mild version of the same thing. She has a "I'm 21 and can do what I want!" mentality about things (tattoos, smoking, piercings, etc), but the childishness is still there. I always thought it was because people have a tendency to act like the world treats them (by allowance or action) and the world treats them according to how they look. If you treat her like a kid, she's going to act like a kid. Sure enough, her daddy was still carrying her around even when she was a teenager.Doctors have told Melanie and Howard, who live in Maryland, that there is no other known case like Brooke's in the world.

Wow you must live in a pretty tough area!
Besides all of the jokes, the thing is, SOMETHING in her DNA told her to stop progressing physically and mentally. There are conditions like this already, it just seems like we haven't found the "switch" that would do this.
We have figured out the hormonal side of it (you can basically make yourself go through puberty again using testosterone, or even grow larger structure through HGH).
