friend's dad is paying for her legals fees? fishy.

The Morris Catholic High School senior and lacrosse player instead has lived at the Rockaway, N.J., home of a classmate, whose father, John Inglesino, has foot the bill for the suit.

lol either a chump or banging her for at least

The teen will demand her parents pay a Morris Catholic tuition bill of $5,306 as well as $12,597 in accrued legal fees.

Yeah the whole things smells a little funny. There must be more to the story. I have to say I was pleased, though, when my 19 year-old daughter posted on FB in response to the story: "She needs a swift kick in the ass."

hope the teen loses.

i bet the reason why they threw her out is she was/is fucking the guy she is living with.

either way the parents are not obligated to pay after 18. she is on her own. while i think its silly of the parents to do they shouldn't have to.

though i seem to recall a similar lawsuit years ago and the kid won.

Private school and college is a privilege and not a right. Spoiled little brat needs to be sent the Marines.

1. She's 18 (aka an "adult")

2. She refuses to live at home, therefore she should not be entitled to anything

3. Who the heck takes someone to court over $12k? Working part-time at McDonalds would solve that & you would never have to speak to your parents again. There's some weird motives going on here...

They'll pay her private school tuition, she will graduate in the spring and go off to college and they'll pay a portion of her college tuition like they originally planned.

That said, yeah, it would be a cold day in hell before my kid would ever let shit get to this level. However, she's opened herself to social and traditional media scrutiny now, so invariably her life is about to get much worse than she ever planned as a result of this.

It's nice for parents to pay for these things, but they should not be legally obligated.

Send her my way, I will straighten her out....

I'm not sure that girl has even seen the inside of a fast food joint, much less given any thought to working in one.

yeap. the parents are going to end up paying for school (both private and college).

sad part is the kid fucked up majorly making this public. I sure in the fuck wouldn't hire her. she has shown when she don't get her way she goes to court. why take that risk?

while hot i pity any man that hooks up with her. again seeing how she is puts a major strain on when you breakup.

also why is the neighbor footing the bill?

I'm not sure that girl has even seen the inside of a fast food joint, much less given any thought to working.

fixed it to show reality...

^ it's mentioned in another article that she is staying with her best friend (who's dad is a lawyer himself) and that she has had differences with her parents, one of which was about her boyfriend and how they want her to break up with him (bad influence). So she moves out to get out from under their rules.

So probably the dad lawyer can't or won't represent her himself but feels badly enough to foot the bill for now. Also note that she's suing for lawyer fees anyway.

All this seems to come down to a rebellious teenager making waves. Bad choice.

And in NJ, 18 doesn't automatically mean her parents can absolve themselves of her (not that she was kicked out). That is too often repeated here as a general statement and I've made that mistake too. A judge will decide this.

Two things come to mind:

1) Me thinks that there is more to this story ...

2) One thing that would make this country (and the world) better ... fewer (zero) lawyers.

You know, shame on the parent/lawyer along with the school for seemingly taking this child at her word and basically facilitating this bad behavior.

It would be a cold day in hell before one of my daughter's boyfriends or friends thought they could stay in my house and wage this little war against their parents.

Unless she's claiming extreme emotional/physical/sexual abuse, shame on these other adults who are facilitating on her behalf.

Ok so this law suit is going to decide if she is grown up enough to be declared separate from her parents.

Last time I checked you had to be a grown up to file a law suit. Case dismissed.

There is so much wrong on so many levels I don't even know where to begin. Obviously she's a spoiled fucking brat, and her parents haven't often put their feet down. Now that they have, she thinks she's entitled to the world.

I agree with a few posters above - a nice dose of the Marines is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Seems I've heard of child support possibly continuing beyond 18 if the child is in school. Hang on, my Google JD shows....

New Jersey Sec. 2A:34-23 states that parents have a duty to support their minor children. However, the court had jurisdiction to entertain a motion to modify the original judgment of divorce to award a payment of support and expenses of a child attending college even though the child had reached the age of majority. The court found that there is no fixed age when a child becomes emancipated. Wanner v. Litvak, 433 A.2d 445 (A.D. 1981).

If we accept a mom getting an ex to pay child support beyond 18, it doesn't seem much of a stretch for the daughter to try to get it directly. I'm glad I'm not NJ.

Oh, and the obligatory....they may have cropped out the pointy elbows, but the overbite is clearly evident. Would not date.

small world, I actually know one of her old bosses.

he posted a blurb to Facebook commenting that she was actually a really nice girl and a hard worker. by his account, her parents were going through a messy divorce and the dad was basically trying to forcibly relocate her to a different town in the middle of the school year.
