Girlfriend loses half of $600 set of earrings...why are girls so dumb?

So, I bought my g/f these platinum set diamond earrings about 2 years ago, and I just find out today that she freakin' lost one of them. She went to some "Jamie Foxx Superbowl Afterparty" (at a club in San Diego) and spent the better part of yesterday drunk. Went to work this morning, hungover, and discovered in the early afternoon that she'd lost it.

I got her the set for her birthday when we first started going out, and it was highly symbolic thing for us. I remember telling her that I was getting her something she could use for the rest of her life (I mean, my freaking mom doesn't have earrings this nice) and now she's lost one.

Jeez. Nothing. Everything. I really don't care.

She didn't "do" anything like that last night if it makes any of you feel any better. I just thought it was...well...typical, I guess, that someone would think to mention that.

But you're right. The fact that she's faithfull has nothing to do with my abilities to snag chicks (although, I think the fact that she's really faithfull might have something to do with whatever it is that makes me able to get lots of chicks. Draw your own freakin' conclusions)

I dunno.. I bought my girlfriend some earrings that have the screwbacks and the "nut" part is loose on it... actually I just brought to the jewlery store today to get it fixed. Maybe that's just an unlucky defect.

The sick thing is, she called me and was telling me how icky (hungover) she felt, and I was like "can I do anything to help?" and she said "sure, buy me something" (she was kidding) and I told her I'd buy her a hug in a couple of weeks (I'm visiting for V-day) and she said "nah, buy me jewlery" (again, joking). We both had a good laugh at that...but man...I didn't realize that she'd be needing some.

I live (for another month or two) in Chico.

And nah, I do the same thing all the time. It's called trust. Is it my favorite situation in the world? No, not really, but I trust her and she trusts me.

I even asked her if she was dancing close enough to someone to the point where their arms would be close to her head and she said no.

So, yeah, I trust her fully. Just not fully enough to give her anything expensive to wear anymore, I guess.
