Unfortunately, it had the exact opposite affect. It scared me and pushed me away. Also the fact that I really simply do not like that song didn't help her.

She's either (1) Relating some kind of religious revelation to you, (2) Breaking up with you with a pretty poor choice of song, or possibly a very distant (3) equating you with God in that song, in that she's sacrificing all for you.

/shrug. Given the religious bias of the song its a rather strange choice.
