So, yeah, first off, I'm 16, so flame away.
My girlfriend of two years and I broke up about a month ago becuase she changed her mind about how she felt about me. Okay. She then went away for the whole summer, and is pretty much unreachable. She brought her phone, but it seldomly works, and isn't "allowed." At first, we talked everyday over the phone while she was gone, but I realized that in order for me to be able to move on from her, I had to just stop talking to her. I still had hope we would get back together, which was keeping me immune from what was going on with her.
So, I tell her just to back off and let me get over her. Reasonable request. She stops talking to me for a little less then two weeks. During that time, I was really able to start thinking about things other then her, get out of the house and hang out with friends, and in general really start to just move on, get interested in other girls, etc.
Except tonight, she called, and asked me how I was. I told her that I was really trying to get over her, and I asked her not to call before. She apologized, and we hung up. Do girls not understand what "Please don't call me for a while" means? Does two weeks seem like enough time to wait until I'm over her and ready to "just be friends?"
And yes, I'm sure she didn't want to get back together. Her best friend talked to her after, and she called in hope of us becoming frends again.
