“Mr. Giuliani will be provided due process and have an opportunity – should he so choose – to explain and defend his words and actions,” the bar association promises.
Although, if one reads the rest of the (brief) article, there is very little hope that he'll manage to save himself.
It's only one page long, but totally worth reading. Looks like Giuliani is going down the Sidney Powell route of complete insanity.

.. to think i would have voted for this clown ...

NPR - "Even if the association decides to remove Giuliani from its rolls, he would still be able to practice law, a group spokesperson told NPR. The New York State Bar Association is a voluntary association, and attorneys may only be disbarred with the approval of a state court committee. "

Seeing as if I've seen chronic meth addicts behave much more lucid and aware of their behavior and surroundings than Giuliani has going back at least a couple of years, so yeah, he really needs to get his practice flushed down the crapper ASAP.

Without Trump covering his ass, should be much easier now than ever.

People who alter their behavior not based on an internal moral compass, but only by fear and threat need to face the consequences of that form of insanity. They will laugh at kindness and take it as further permission to act out. These are folk for whom an eye for an eye was intended. Without reaching the point of understanding their own culpability, they will only abuse mercy. That understanding comes only when their ego sickness gets crushed. Ego sickness requires a reckoning. A loss of social respect can be a step on that path.

My opinion.

Both of the articles referenced above are from Jan11 and I don't see any actions that have been taken since the inquiry was announced then.

Should have been disbarred years ago.
But actually I like the idea Donald has been using a shitty attorney all this time. It probably held him back a bit.

As previously mentioned this is not him getting disbarred. This is him being kicked out of a professional association. You know those things who charge you like $150 a year to send you some dumb newsletter? That’s what this is.

That being said, after this shit show who would want to hire him anyway? The only reason that would make sense would be for some sort of connections to Trumpworld or for grifting but you don’t need a law license for that. (For example, Rudy’s previous grift was running a cyber security firm. Lol.)

To go from being an extremely effective and competent US Attorney in NYC to be on the verge of being disbarred and widely regarded as a batshit crazy joke-what a wild ride.

People at/near the top tend to continue getting promoted until they either land in a position that they're competent at and stay there, or get promoted above that level and start failing. Giuliani's peak was probably at the US Attorney level.

Of course, I'd argue that all Giuliani really did was clear the deck for the Russian mob in NYC, but I kinda digress.

I've seen that phenomenon get played out time after time, especially so where management near the top tier are so insecure and afraid of being exposed for their own incompetence and shortcomings that they would refuse to promote any employee that could possibly be a threat to their hold on their positions. Ergo, incompetent unqualified personnel get hired from the top on down, breeding a debilitating culture of fascism gone amok due to management's reliance on iron fist discipline because they simply lack any semblance of people skills and their inability to put their underlings needs before their own.

I don't think it is a matter of rising too high. Rudy was a US Attorney for most of the 80's and did what noone could do before him-he put a real hurt on the mob. That job was a whole lot harder and more complicated then the dog and pony shows he has been doing recently.

His problem is likely a combination of not retiring 15 years ago plus the corrupting allure of power.

Some people that drank the Trump Kool-Aid didn't die, but they apparently did get severe brain damage.

Trump needs Rudy for the sake of pushing more voter fraud during impeachment. Just as I predicted, Trump is planning on using Rudy and the impeachment to further push his stolen election conspiracy. So I suspect that Donald and Rudy are looking forward to this event quite a lot. And we will all get violently ill watching Giuliani turn the "impeachment over insurrection" into ballot corruption and dead people voting. The impeachment will turn into your typical Trump clown circus with everyone losing the focus and with distraction as the name of the game. The expertise of Rudy Giuliani. So there will be no vote over the guilt of insurrection, the vote will be whether or not Joe Biden stole the election, and THAT is what republicans in the senate will be casting their votes on, not the insurrection.

Giuliani will not be Trump's lawyer at the impeachment trial, as he is already a witness in said trial.

And you can believe every word my "witness" says, just like you can believe me.

Saw on TV news tonight that Trump is not expected to pardon himself or family members. However, that could change in the next 42 hours.

Does anybody have insight into Giuliani's state of mind? I mean, we have insight into Trump, he just spins everything for his benefit. But Trump's no lawyer, he lacks sophistication. Giuliani's a lawyer, past mayor of NYC. The photos I've seen of the man in recent weeks and months have me thinking he's kind of lost his mind. He appears extremely stressed. Has he gone mad, as they say? Why would he stick his neck out and yell "trial by combat?" That's the act of a deranged man, considering he's a lawyer.

Similarly, Barr seems to have lost his mind, although he's tried to back his way out of the White House. But Rudy? I don't see an exit strategy for that moron. WTH happened to him? I'm curious to see a treatment of his progression over the last 20 years.

I have to wonder if he's in less than good health. That could have the effect of ruining his mental capacity.

Trump wasn't expected to hurl an angry mob against the Capitol, either.

I never put that past him. But even Trump didn't say "trial by combat!" He was sneaky, "you'll never succeed unless you're strong," all the "strong" stuff, egging them on. You know, well I knew, that Trump wanted it to get extremely aggressive.

TBH, I didn't antiipate anything like what did happen.

But I don't expect Trump to not pardon any particular people. FAIK, he'll issue a pardon for the whole country, goofy a mofo as he is.

Rudy's problem is that there are people who can sell him out, either for fun or profit. Parnas & Fruman, for starters. Ukrainian assets of Russian intelligence. God only knows who else. He's done a lot of sleazing where he shouldn't have been sleazing. Add incitement to riot. He needs to be on Trump's pardon list.

Hmm interesting. Guess he got talked out of it since it's a confirmation of guilt and no longer can reject Congress testimony
