<< What good B&M stores have good return policies? The following B&M places are here: Best Buy, CompUSA, Staples, Office Max, Sam's Club, BJs (another wholesale place...Envision 7100 for only $500), Sears (do they even have LCDs?). That's all I can think of. >>
I'll tell you what, I ended up keeping the Envision 7100. I got it new for an insane price and it looks great. The vertical viewing angles are not perfect. I can see a slight difference in brightness from the top to the bottom. Other than that, it looks very nice. The colors look awesome and the display is very sharp. It has a stated 50ms response time but it blurs/ghosts/afterglows MUCH less than the pv150 which is rated at 25ms. I find that fast action games play very well on the 7100 while I really was dissatisfied with how they looked on the pv150. If you can live with imperfect viewing angles, I would recommend it without reservation. Personally, I think it is sort of silly to pay for a top of the line LCD right now. The technology is still developing and much better advancements are on the way. >>
The Envision is a nice monitor indeed, I saw it at CompUSA (unfortunately NOT at it's native reso ). However, if I am going to have to keep this monitor for 3 years, I just don't think that the 7100 will cut it.
