I picked up a Gladiac cheap from Buy.com and I am about to assemble a new system system for it. Taking a look at ELSA's website, I saw this notice concerning the ASUS K7V boards:

Problem
The PC freezes only when using MS Media Player and while playing avi or mpeg files.
No problems with Direct3D and OpenGL applications.
Solution :
Please set in Mainboard BIOS AGP FAST WRITE to "Disable" , standard is "enabled" mode.
Has anyone seen this problem with their Gladiac/K7V combo? Have recent driver/BIOS revisions for either the board or card corrected this minor annoyance? With reports of good stability with K7V/Slot A Thunderbird combos, I'd rather go that direction, but I don't want to create a different problem instead.
