Are there any glass desks like this that have the monitor rested in the center of the desk and the keyboard in the center. That's how my current OM crappy particle board desk is setup now and I find it very convenient. Thanks

hmmmm now I have to decide between this one at Staples, or the Fiero L Glass desk at OM (for 99, but looks better, imho) Too bad neither store has any coupons for anything under a billino dollars these days.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the keyboard tray? I'd prefer to be able to fit both my keyboard and mouse on it.

I have a Microsoft Natural Keyboard and I can't fit my mouse next to it. I mean I could, but there won't be enough room to move around, especially with the desktop area of a dual monitor configuration. If you have a regular old keyboard, I'm pretty sure a mouse will have enough area to fit. It's 25.5" across...

Fiero at OM has thinner glass, 6mm instead of 8. It should not make any difference unless you plan to have 2 21" CRT monitors on it.

Fiero is 5mm, which borders on worrying for me; but it is a few inches bigger.

Why can't there be a sale on a full-size desk? 100+" would be lovely... :|

Just 1 Dell 2001FP LCD on it, so the thickness shouldn't be a problem. I guess it's up to whichever retailer actually has a usuable coupon for the desk. I like the Fiero's look a LOT better, but it *is* $20 more and the glass is thinner.

I also don't think the keyboard tray is nearly wide enough to accomodate a largish keyboard (logitech wireless) and an mx700 mouse (which will probably need a mousepad now, since the tray has holes and the glass is, well, glass)

My two cents - I bought this desk on sale a couple of months ago and am very happy. The glass is thick and the table is sturdy. Beware, it is HEAVY. My only complaint is that the keyboard tray was slighly bent so I have to put part of the mousepad under it to keep it from wobbling. Other than that, everyone who has seen it can't believe it only cost $80.

Another good thing: it forced me to clean up my cabling!

I just put mine together and I love it! The only complaint is the small space on the keyboard tray. I have my mouse on it but it's a tight fit. The desk seems very sturdy once you have it put together, and it's a very attractive desk.

Just got mine, dimensions on the tray are 26" x 12". It did fit a mouse pad and full size keyboard, but that was barely so I switched to a space saver keyboard (which I actually prefer and usually use over on my better computer, heh).

My tray was a little crooked at first, but then I realized I had put one of the screws in askew, took it out, put it in straight, and all was good. Pic (I need a better camera next, I guess ;p):

I noticed Staples had a model that was almost exactly the same. but made of wood for only 70$ (and not on sale), probably why the glass one doesn't sell so well when at full price. ^^ Neither has drawers or anything which probably contributes to the low prices.

thanks for posting pics guys! I see now that the keyboard drawer is just toooo small for a mouse.

Cool, those pics really helped... I can't believe that you managed to have two monitors on the desk without any weight issues!

It really is too bad that it doesn't have any drawers... I guess buying a rolling file chest might be something to look out for. Gonna order mine now!
