It's very good. I actually saw it on Broadway as a kid, with Joe Montagna - the play won the Pulitzer prize, and is even better than the movie - they edited out some of the funniest stuff for the movie (mostly awful racial slurs). The film has an amazing cast (Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris, Alec Baldwin) and is generally quite good.

Negative.
Glengarry and Glen Ross are seperate real estate developments that the real estate firm sells, the leads for which the sales staff fight over. AFAIK, they never give the name of the real estate firm itself.

edit: my bad, the firm's name was Premier Properties. Been awhile since I've seen the flick. Now that it is out on DVD, I must buy and see again

<- has worked in sales for 10 years, the last 8 in real estate and mortgage

It's a movie that EVERYONE in sales should see (just not before a big sales call)

Saw this again last night - great flick. But I have a question (spoiler):

When confronting Shelley 'The Machine' about the robbery, Williamson says "Well I?m saying this, Shelley: Usually I take the contracts to the bank. Last night I didn?t. Last night I stayed home with my kids." --- If Williamson stayed home with his kids, then after he and Shelley left the office, Williamson never returned. So how did Ricky's contract end up on Williamson's desk?

Great movie is you like sarcasm and dry humour. Maybe Alec Baldwins best performance ever.

Great lines in there...

"ABC - Always...BE...Closing."

"A set of steak knives."
