Look, if Nazis were closer to left-wing they wouldn't have had their ideological war with the Soviets. Either you guys are being intellectual dishonest at this point, or, more probably, you guys are hardcore right-wing partisans who want to distance everything bad from your ideology. In either case, you really shouldn't want to come to the defense of a clown like Glenn Beck.
Not really seeing the big differences between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany in any practical sense.
Purging of political enemies? Check.
Collectivized, centrally-planned economies? Sure.
Command and control police state? That too.
A frenzied cult of personality? Yes.
Ambitions to expand territories through invasion or threat thereof? Indeed.
Mass exterminations/deportations of intellectuals and other threats to the state? Da and Ja!
Left and right are bullshit paradigms foisted upon us from the time we're kids. A more realistic view is anarchy on one end of the spectrum and totalitarianism on the other, at least it would seem so based on the fact that left(socialism) and right(fascism) are really the same product with different packaging.
Oh, Glenn Beck is a profiteering, charlatan asshole and Keith Olbermann is a self-important ninny with bad ratings.
