Massive thermal nuclear explosion in Antartica? Like something out of a Japanese Anime flick. That's how massive I'm talking.

Really, it doesn't matter who or what causes global warming. All I know is that I'd really rather not take my chances on a wildly different weather pattern, who knows if humanity can thrive with its current numbers given that.

They are all going to die any ways when the Ice melts from :Q Global Warming :Q.
Better to put them out of their misery now and quickly then let them suffer the effects of :Q Global Warming :Q
After all evoluation has been banned from schools so these cold water penguins will never be able to adapt to become warm water penguins.

they will live in my room i will adopt them all and feed them tuna of the sea
I'd say anything that diminishes our ability to engage in agriculture or otherwise exploit the resources of an area(including being able to inhabit it).Originally posted by: altonb1

What classifies something as a wildly different weather pattern? The freak snow storm that hit Buffalo? 2 feet or so, right? That global warming is killing us with the record snowfall yesterday and today...beat the record set...let's see...100 years ago?

In any case, Global Warming is simply a propaganda tool used by politicians, tree huggers, etc to push an agenda.
Your facts are sketchy:
1. You claim the amount of CO2 had not changed much in 400,000 years. If that is true, can you tell me the EXACT CO2 level for the year 396,487 BC? No? Why not? And if not, how can you claim your fact is accurate?
2. How do you know the Earth is even that old? There are many that would argue the age of the earth is only 10,000 years old at the MOST.
3. If we have had 2 Ice Ages on the planet (as I believe I was taught in school) then how do you know the current "warming" (if it is truly happening) is not just the natural warming as we continue to get back to "normal" temps after the last ice age. In other words, maybe the Earth has been too cold and has not yet reached it's ideal normal temp, such as the temp in early June is not the same summer temp you get in mid-late July.
4. Perhaps this is better suited for P&N?

[*]CO2 is a greenhouse gas (link)
[*]Atmospheric CO2 concentrations and average world temperatures vary proportionately.
[*]CO2 concentrations vary naturally (link)
[*]CO2 concentrations have varied between ~180ppm and ~300ppm for the last 400000 years (link)
[*]Between 1800 and present day, CO2 concentrations have gone from ~280ppm to ~370ppm. link)
[*]The current CO2 levels have not occured in the last 800000 years and are outside their natural range. (link)
Conclusion
Humans have put an excess amount of CO2 in the atmosphere which will cause average world temperatures to rise and greatly alter the planet's climate.

we don't know the natural range of CO2 levels. in fact, we don't know anything at all. everything about global warming is based on speculation and our limited knowledge of the earth's history.
on the other hand, global warming killed the dinosaurs.

No he isn't. If it were anything else but the topic at hand, scientists would laugh at you for interpolating the data in the way global warming magnates have done. It's ridiculous to believe that we can capture the average earth temperature in any meaningful way across the entire planet, with today's data. There are huge gaps across, oh, I dunno, THE OCEANS. And an even more ridiculous supposition is the assumption that we can know anything about the global temperature 100, 200, 400, 1000 years ago with any sort of assurity. Oh yeah, a few deep ice drillings in a Canadian glacier are really going to give us an idea of the GLOBAL temperature in 2300 BC.
Aren't these the same people that study the current temperatures and try to predict the weather for us? The same people who are wrong 75% of the time and still get to keep their jobs? So apparently the global temperature has increased 6/10ths of a degree in 100 years. How am I supposed to believe that we can measure the temperature change that accurately, when the weather forecaster can't even predict TODAY's weather to within that range? Think about how ridiculous that is for a minute. Predicting what the weather will be today is not much different than predicting what the weather was 100 years ago, except that today we have data several orders of magnitude more reliable. And we can't even do THAT to within 1 degree of accuracy. How does that make any sense?

I don't say you have to believe the link as fact; however, since the theory exists, we can not automatically believe your theory is actual fact, either.

Relative to the period 1860?1900, global temperatures on both land and sea have increased by 0.75 °C (1.4 °F), according to the instrumental temperature record. Since 1979, land temperatures have increased about twice as fast as ocean temperatures (0.25 °C/decade against 0.13 °C/decade (Smith, 2005). Temperatures in the lower troposphere have increased between 0.12 and 0.22 °C per decade since 1979, according to satellite temperature measurements. Over the one or two thousand years before 1850, world temperature is believed to have been relatively stable, with possibly regional fluctuations such as the Medieval Warm Period or the Little Ice Age.
