That'll buff right out!

And I agree that the pics do not compute.

I don't care if it's from the gun or not, it's still insane.

That pic looks more similar to a small explosive charge going off in a closed fist(like m-80 or the like)

As a hospital worker in a trauma hospital I've seen my share of nasty stuff and those pics just dont compute

the pics compute in my opinion... there are two major incisions in the hand and 2 major pieces of crap that flew off?

The hand is too mangled for what happened to the gun, the index finger and thumb are competely gone, the middle finger is hanging on apparently by some bit of skin or tendon. The hand is also halfway severed from the wrist(or so it appears hard to tell cuz the pic is small and only one angle)

The trauma looks to be either explosive or some sort of mangling/crush injury, maybe catching a hand in a harvester combine...but not a glock 'blowing' up

EDIT: I dont think it's explosive because of no apparent burning on the skin, probably some mangling/sheer trauma

well, the piece would cut right through it all... shopping off the index and slicing through the middle finger and beyond

Hold your hand like you are holding a pistol...maybe it'd make some nasty lacerations but..not in the sort of trauma seen in that picture.

The two things that do line up are that the area of the gun that blew out lined up with the fingers of a left handed person. The picture is of someones left hand. Those sinster among us are a little more rare, and the odds of the picture being of left handed injury and corresponding damage also being neccesary for left handed is less likely to have been just random occurance. While it does look extreme it would be similar to holding a firecracker, the force causes worse damage to areas clamping down on it. He would have been tightly gripping the handle there where the fingers were severed at.

Winner! Those pics are fake, at least they're from two different events.

My problem is the angles are all wrong, I can believe it blew off his index and middle finger but how the fsck is he holding that pistol to sever his thumb and nearly his whole hand? Thats my problem with the picture

little rubbing alcohol, a needle, thread, and it'll be as good as new....

as for the hand, it's screwed.

LEO .45 Glocks exploding incident: Officer Mike Close "was on the firing line, and his gun basically exploded in his hand," Foxworth said. Close's fingers were bruised, and some metal lodged in his skin. He was treated at a hospital and released.
