I'm not a religious person, but communion wafers are pretty damn tasty. I've thought about buying a box on Amazon just to munch on while watching T.V. or something. Think that would be some sort of sin?

Must be different from the Anglican version because those have no taste at all. They just stick to your pallet and you don't even get a decent sip of wine to wash them down with.

Probably more to do with who makes them. I don't think Cavanaugh bakery has a gluten free line.

I grew up in the Methodist church. All we ever had were those kind that just stuck to your tongue or the roof of your mouth. Not only that, but apparently you can haul grape juice through the desert without it turning to wine, cause grape juice is all we ever got.
Whole different world in a high episcopal church, at least the service I went to. Got real bread and wine. Oh and it was a small service and there was a lot of bread and wine and it's a sin to waste the Eucharist. So a good time was had by all.

The bread transubstantiates to flesh and blood, so it's not gluten anymore. If you believe that it's gluten then you're denying the truth of the sacrament and you shouldn't be eating it anyway.

It's a weird thing to say but meh it's a Catholic Church thing. The wine has to be wine, not juice.
