Gmail gets IMAP.
My question is this, what is the difference between using POP vs IMAP with Gmail, if with POP you are still retaining all your messages on Gmail's server in order to check it from any computer anywhere?
What are the advantages/disadvantages to either/or?
I did a bit of reading, and it seems as if that's the main difference between the two protocols, but with Gmail keeping messages on the server, than is that point moot?
