This crowd is the same crowd that said the Expendables was good, decent, blow em up, excitement.

It's just one of those movies you can't take seriously, but it was a lot of fun. Plus, Jessica Alba shower scene = the hotness.

Seriously though guys, this is one of those movies like Kill Bill, no one went to see it when it came out, but a few days later, when everyone heard how amazing it was, it took off.

I did not see the Expendibles, but I guarentee you this is a better movie than that.

Seriously though guys, this is one of those movies like Kill Bill, no one went to see it when it came iut, but a few days later, when everyone heard how amazing it was, it took off.

I did not see the Expendibles, but I guarentee you this is a better movie than that.

I might go check it out this week. Rodriguez and Tarantino films are always way over the top and unrealistic, but I like that they embrace it. Unlike a lot of other movies who pretend to be realistic and are just about as far from it as these guys. They turn that unrealistic stuff into great entertainment though, which is why I watch movies.

Reviews don't mean jack. It got a similar score to The Last Exorcism, which was a complete failure of a movie. A more accurate assessment would be:

Machete: 90 %
The Last Exorcism: 39 %

Negative. We saw both movies and agreed that Expendables was terrible, but we both enjoyed Machete. I enjoyed it more due to the eye candy. :biggrin: Say what you will about the acting of Alba and Michelle Rodriguez, but they are smokin! Plus there're a couple of topless scenes with Lohan, her MILF, and Machete getting it on . . .

If nothing else, there is roughly 10,000% more eye-candy than the Expendables.

Sometimes they do. I've seen movies that had poor reviews and I actually enjoyed them. I've also seen movies with high reviews that for me were complete failures.
