God damn fruit

When you guys eat fruit does your mouth start itching? I just ate a peach and now my lips feel like 15 mosquitoes bit them. I get this when I eat kiwis too

Allergies?

Only apples do that to me. It's so annoying, because I enjoy apples, but if I eat one that's not cut up first and have to dig my teeth into a whole apple, a few minutes later my entire upper and lower gums feel very very itchey... I always complain about it and my friends/family think I'm making it up!

Usually with peaches, it's the fuzz that's the problem. You could try washing the peach thoroughly or just removing the skin altogether to see how that affects you.

Did you look at the fruit you were eating? Sometimes they can be covered in those tiny little bugs that you can hardly see, maybe you ate those.

I've gotten more allergic to fruits as I've gotten older. I wouldn't really call it a full blown allergy though, as its really just itchy lips/throat and nothing serious like hives or restricted breathing. Unripe pears, peaches, nectarines, and cherries all trigger the reaction. Plums, apples, oranges, melons, and berries are all fine.

As mentioned above, it's probably just the fuzz on the peach's skin. Next time, wash it off....very easy to do. Kiwis have that sort of fuzz on the skin, too, so not surprising you get the same sensation from both provided you're not washing them off.

I get this when I eat certain melons and raw veggies. Actually high exposure to fruits that cause this for you may make it go away.

You're close, but this is actually caused by eating the tiny parasitical worms that are the larval stage of the peach borer beetle. Yes, they can (and do) live in the human body until it's time for them to "hatch" into the adult stage, then they...find their way out...any way they can.
