They do cloud seeding here all the time. But I guess you do need clouds for that.
Even better if it was free to do.We need to invent some way to allow people to migrate to an area with a climate they'd prefer to live in. Something with one or more rotating round cylinders on the ground to reduce drag, and a platform on top to stuff all your shit onto.
We could use horses to pull it. Even better if it has some way to control which direction it goes. Impossibru, but I can dream.
I wish we got to 72 at night. Our dewpoint doesn't even go that low at night. We ALMOST saw the sun today...high hit about 72F. Had a bit of rain yesterday ..and a chance of scattered showers over the next few days.
Happens every single day in summer. It was way higher in July 2022 when we were near rolling blackouts and large commercial users were voluntary shutting down for rebates, but solar is saving our asses this summer.Texas Steve,
Looks like you guys are getting screwed again by your power company.
Texas Power Prices to Surge 800% on Sunday Amid Searing Heat
This is a Bloomberg article from yesterday.
Ugh our's is slowly coming to a peakOur summer is slowly coming to an end. I like this time of year though, the days are still nice but not brutal hot, and the nights cool right down. Need to start thinking about winterizing my hose before the nights start to go below zero. I added an air compressor fitting to my plumbing a while back to make it easier to do that, and also make it easier to work on plumbing in general, but have not really tested that out yet.
🖕I love summer. It's not all that hot where I live, only a few uncomfortable days a year. My BD was ~1 week ago, and everything's great. My plums and tomatoes just reaching ripeness, pickable. If I could pick a BD it would be mine, perfect. I can play golf.
Not enough drama. Get back to me when the sand starts to glassAnd last summer was the hottest ever recorded in San Antonio, though this one looks like it's going to beat it.

You have my sympathy in Texas. What can I say, we had a tough winter, spring was reluctant to arrive, it's finally nice, and as usual my BD was attended by glorious weather.
