God Metallica sucks

The reviews are back up, Metallica's management company were the overzealous douchebags, not the band members.

Metallica can't do any wrong as far as I'm concerned. They are the best metal band of all-time, end of story.

What's wrong with the mixing in AJFA?

They f'd up the bass, under-toning the guitar, but then emphasizing the kick drum. It's f'ing obvious to anybody that it's a poorly mixed album.

I've been a lifelong fan of Metallica and am one of the few people that actually liked St. Anger. That said, United Abominations and the System Has Failed crushes anything that Metallica's put out since ...And Justice for All.

I loved Metallica up and through the Black album but my interest faded by then in Metallica.

I've also listedn to Slayer, and yes Tom Araya is Catholic, and he refuses to write lyrics for Slayer because of his faith. He will sing (er shout) others material though. Thats why most of the lyrics in Slayer are written by King and Hanneman. (One is Athiest/sort of Satanic in nature in his lyrics while the other is more military freak)... Which explains why Slayer has alot of military/funky death lyrics.

But to say Slayer is better than Metallica is laughable. Slayer has taken a downturn in their quality since Seasons in the Abyss, about the same time Metallica took their nosedive... With the last few releases of Slayer, I think I'd rather say that I'd rather listen to late Metallica. Slayer just sounds like horseshit these days. "God Hates us all" and "Christ Illusion" and even to a lesser degree "Diablous in Musica" seem to lack any music creativity. Just the "lets make these 3 chords go very quick over and over while Tom shouts into the microphone."

It really has nothing to do with Catholicism, but his beliefs. Tom is not going to write anti god/satanic lyrics. I'm sure most in the Catholic religion will realize that is just an excuse. Yeah I understand that. I really had no thoughts that any of those bands actually thought they were satanists. They (and pretty much anyone) are going to go where the money is, and so would I.

Still doesn't change my view that Metallica and Slayer are not even near the same genre of music. Speed metal |= hard rock (did I do that right?). That's like saying there is no difference between Hank Williams Jr and Gene Autry.
