I'm tempted by the sierra bundle. I loved a several old sierra games back in the day and I never played space quest, king's quest etc but I always was interested. Is it worth picking up this bundle?
Well I clicked on it and it said 'you already own all these games'. I'd say it's worth it to a limited audience who likes those older games.
Yea, I have that problem with games like Ultima 7. I want to play it badly, but the graphics are so bad, I can barely make out whats on the screen. Hard to believe back in the day that was good graphics
This is my first run in with GoG. Are they always this spotty?
The Witcher 2 is 5.99. Decided to jump on 1 & 2.
Tried using their proprietary downloader thing. Install of the witcher failed due to a bad download, apparently.

Just download the Windows installer for your games, not the downloader thing.
the old graphics would bother me. not that i'm a graphics whore, but some of that stuff is REALLY old and not sure I could get into it.
I'm really regretting past GOG impulse buys now. I can't get the bundles I want because I already own one or two of the games in them. Granted the other stuff I want is still 50% off, but...
For those people who bought the Sierra Adventure Game Bundle, playing King's Quest in AGI was okay back in the 80's, but it can be tough to stand these days. If you're into the Sierra adventure games I encourage you to check out AGD Interactive's FREE remake of KQ 1-3.

I've played the first one and really enjoyed it!

Do you need the original to play the remake ?
I think I'm going to wait for wizadry 8 to go on sale. Hum. Probably won't this time around.
All the Wizardry's were on sale (for like 80% off) yesterday. Unless they do some final blowout, I think you missed the big discount and are stuck with 50% off.
No, they're standalone. You don't need anything to play them (that I know of). AGD isn't affiliated with Sierra. I'm not sure how they got around copyright laws (I think because they're giving it away), but they're just good looking remakes of the originals.
From what I gather, the people that made the remakes are just big fans of adventure games and wanted to bring the genre back. They re-did the most famous franchise and now they are making their own new games (Al Emmo and some new game that I don't think is finished yet).
I have very fond memories of playing the original KQ games and I was stoked to find out about the updated versions. I had only played the first one, but going on GOG reminded me that I need to play the next two. So, I downloaded KQ 1-3 again off of AGD and bought KG 4-6 on GOG. I never played KQ 7-8 (supposedly not very good), so I skipped those.
