Just got the deluxe stuff from EBAY a few weeks ago.. had not delved into making it work, man GOG could make this so much easier..

getting my money out, but must say I'm a bit worried about StarWars now that Disney has um. Heck a texture mapped and Updated (as in graphics, not gameplay) version of the old tie games.. heaven! But GOG version would be almost heaven, i would take it.

I know that all in progress work was shut down, but I believe they kept the studio open so they could license things and shit.

Did they retain rights to gains already published though or just current and new IP? EA can still sell KOTOR, for example. Lucas Arts owned properties might not have been held by Disney, or they might have even made a deal with GoG. I'm sure they wouldn't mind some profits for doing literally nothing. "Oh, sure you can sell LucasArts games, just give us 30% (or whatever GoG gives old publishers)".

Kind of makes sense for GoG to manage to get them now since LA is basically completely a licensing engine if it exists at all.

GoG is probably pretty good at pitching their "let us sell your old games you have no way of making money off of anymore except through us" deal by now.

I seem to recall Tim Schafer saying he worked out a deal with Disney to remake Grim Fandango. So I'm guessing they bought up the whole lot.

Now that X-Wing and TIE Fighter have been confirmed, I'm hoping some of the classic adventure games get bundled in there eventually. I missed out playing Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max Hit the Road, and Monkey Island 4 back in the day.

Probably because the demand for X-Wing and Tie Fighter are way higher. KOTOR has been available for purchase all these years after all.

Well you can look at it this way too, you are getting both the Dos(1994) and the Windows(1998) versions of both games for $10.
Although you do not get to choose, you are getting 2 games for 5 each

Although the goodies for Xwing seem a little lacking compared to Tie Fighter.

Only wish at the moment is that they also had xwing alliance. Xwing v tie fighter probably won't have multipleyer capability so not a real priority.
