Yeah but thats not the point. The choice between dumb phone and smart phone was not the decision we were looking at right there in those two posts.
I was responding to a dude who asked why we dont move over to Virgin Mobile seeing as how they have smartphones. My answer was, they have a limited selection of crappy smart phones. For now I'd rather stick with a quality phone and limited plan at a big carrier.
Maybe next time around (November I think) I will look at a Sprint branded phone to be used on Virgin (if they allow it) or unlocked CDMA phone to be used on Virgin. If they allow it.
If not then Virgin isnt really a good option. At least for me. The OP on the other hand should know he has choices, even if they arent very good. And if he likes the iPhone his choices are even worse. He'd need an unlocked, jailbroken version and hope T-mobile lets him bring it over with a pay-as-you-go plan. Also the AT&T 3g is different from T-mobile 3g so he'd be using 1X and Wifi all the time. Which is not great.
