I'm a Florida boy with zero familiarity of freezing weather. I have a business trip in a week to fly to New Hampshire for 5 days. I can probably borrow a winter jacket but what else should be my stocked in my suitcase? I'm not even sure if I have a sweater. Lol.

Might have to go shopping a little.

What are some 'must have' items. Mostly I'll be inside for training but may venture out.

A few pair of nice warm socks, look for hiking socks that aren't the super thick kind. A cheap pair of gloves to keep in jacket pockets. Some sort of hat, and I don't mean a ball cap.

A lot depends on how much or if you're going to be outside.

You may want some sort of chap stick too. The winter air can get very cold/dry.

You will need some electric socks and some hand warmers.
You will need some snow boots and a parka.
These are absolutely mandatory.

If you do not wear these and are outside for longer than 30sec., you could die.

Extra socks (having sweaty feet that make your socks wet will result in being chilled to teh bone) I go through two pairs per day, winter hat will help, scarf if you can (keeping your neck warm will help very much. Sweater isn't neccessary, I tend to wear hoodies instead.

If you were staying for longer, I would recommend long john's. With the weather this year, you may luck out and get day time temps in the 30-40's, and night time temps in the teens.

Dress in layers. Sweaters, thermals, etc. This week is freezing up north but it's supposed to get warmer.

I did the same thing, FL to CT tho.

Chapstick
Hand lotion
Ear grips (slim earmuffs)
Gloves (cheap leather are fine, so wind/water can't get through)
Jacket (not a fleece that wind can get through)
Pants (no shorts)
Socks and Shoes (no sandals/)

I just checked the weather there real quick, it's only -4C. You'll just need a coat. MAYBE gloves if it starts to get any colder. Also get some skin lotion as once it goes below zero it does get kinda dry so you'll want to use a lot on your hands especially if you go without gloves. Play it by ear, some people's skin gets dryer than others'. Probably don't need a tuque unless you plan to be outside a lot, but if it's just to go to the car/bus/etc, don't need to. I only wear one when I go out shoveling as my ears get cold, but it's also much colder here.

For indoor clothes, tshirt is fine, even when it's -40 here, it's still 20-22 in any building, it's called hvac. .

I'm farther south of NH, and it's been 10-20°F lately. About a week ago, the wind chill was somewhere around -10°F.
A jacket will be ok if you're walking a very short distance outside, otherwise you'll be getting cold in a damn hurry.

Or, it might also be oddly warm weather; it's been somewhere in the 50s a few times here this January.

Will you be renting a car and doing any driving? Ever driven on snowy/icy roads before?

Depends on the building, and how much the owners wanted to spend on things like insulation, weatherproofing, and heating and ventilation. The high ceiling in the office at work is somewhere around 83°F, while the air near the floor is closer to 55-60°F, and some of the windows bleed heat straight through, such that there's a light draft caused by the sinking cold air. I'm almost always wearing a fleece jacket - then in the summer, the AC gets cranked way down, so I'm still in the jacket.
