I suspect dahunan is correct, therefore may I suggest a catchy Palin book title like MY Struggle,
which in German would be Mein Kamf. Another best seller of yesteryear. To my knowledge, no deleb agent has copyrighted the phrase.

Right because Palin is Hitler.

You're pathetic.

Judging by the vitriol of the remarks against her and her book, which has not even been released yet, I would say this one will be a big seller.

Yeah, we're so jealous of the woman who tanked the Republican campaign last year. Oh spidey, you're so special.

Keep it up, keep doing what the left is doing. I beg you to please keep it up.

The book will be a number one seller regardless. You're so indoctrinated with ultra right ideology that you don't understand just how badly you are turning off moderate voters. My best friend's dad, an admitted racist, said he voted for a Democrat for the first time in his life in 2008 because he couldn't stand being associated with the crazies anymore. (he said he voted for Obama's white half... no joke. hahaha)

Obama's just getting started spidey... he's going to pass this health care bill, and that's just a warm up.

You really don't get it do you.

Had McCain gone with some safe white male like Pawlenty, Obama rather then beating McCain (52.9% to 45.7%) would have had a landslide victory not seen since Reagan beat Mondale in '84 (58.8% to 40.6%). Palin brought out the conservative base who would never would have voted for McCain due to his being such a moderate.

Now, did some Republicans not vote for McCain because of her? Possibly. But I think that many of those Republicans got snookered into the whole Hope and Change con and would have voted Obama no matter who he would have picked.

But there is still the unanswered question out there. If Palin is such a idiot (although compared to Biden, shes a genius), then why is the mainstream media after her so much even a year after the election?

Oh I completely get it. In fact, I got it immediately. If you go search for my posts at the time she was nominated I predicted why he picked her and what was going to happen almost exactly. McCain chose the high risk/high reward route with her, and it failed. She became an embarrassment.

As for why the media is after her, it sounds like your question presupposes the media is somehow liberally biased. This has been debunked repeatedly through meta analysis and plain old academic studies. (with one notable exception that is widely discredited) The media covers her because she is interesting and evokes strong emotion. The media also covers car accidents and train wrecks for similar reasons. When Sarah Palin does something, a lot of people watch it. It doesn't mean those people watching her think she would be good in elected office however. (hell, even Republicans who generally love her express serious doubts about her in that way.)

"why is the mainstream media after her so much even a year after the election?"

Because she is a media whore and constantly seeks attention. And pointing out that she seldom has anything meaningful to contribute doesn't mean they are out to get her either.

Because she keeps placing herself in the spotlight? If the media didn't cover whatever stunt she is currently pulling, the right wing media would be screaming about how the MSM is ignoring Palin. When they do cover whatever she does, they complain that they put her in a bad light. Also, you think the media is "after" her, its hilarious, true wingnut thinking there.

How exactly do you cover quitting a job of being a Governor because its too hard in a good light?

This book will sell a ton as people need their echo chamber. But selling well isn't a good measure of quality, as Dan Brown would be one of the greatest writers of all time by that measure.

The problem is that the right takes media bias as an article of faith. Malicious intent is already a given, they just have to figure out how it's manifesting itself. No coverage? Librul media is trying to bury her. Lots of coverage? Librul media is attacking her.

Well I can agree with Spidey on at least this, "Keep talking this book up. Make it number one seller. Keep it up. Keep calling Americans racists. Keep it up. Please keep it up. I'm not mad at all, I'm smiling.

Keep it up, keep doing what the left is doing. I beg you to please keep it up."

Because every dollar wasted on Palin books can not be later used to run effective televisions adds or increase the chances of other credible republicans winning in 2010 or 2012. Face the facts, Sarah Palin is God's gift to the democratic party. And as a democrat, I talk her up every chance I get. And besides, Sarah is always good for a laugh. Sort of a like a long running soap opera shortly before it jumps the shark. Meanwhile, the world wonders, what happened to Joe the plumber?

Personally, I hope this book is a best seller and its readers buy multiple copies. Any money that goes towards its purchase is money that can't be donated towards a real politician with similar ideology to Palin. Plus, if Palin makes enough money off it that might make it easier for her to run for the Republican nomination in 2012.

She keeps placing herself in the spotlight? How? Making comments on Facebook? Giving a speech in Hong Kong that was closed to the public/press (and therefore out of the spotlight)?

The fact is the media is keeping her in the spotlight.

No one made Sarah Palin parade her pregnant teenage daughter (and boyfriend) before a national television audience - in spite of opposing sex-ed programs other than "abstinence education".

No one made her teenage daughter appear on Fox News and say abstinence in 'not realistic'.

And then 3 months later her daughter becomes the "Ambassador for Abstinence"?

This is comedy gold. No one is making this stuff up. This is reality for the (ex-)Gov.

And 2012 GOP Presidential candidate ??

The feeling is mutual.

She wrote this book quickly because she knows if she waited to long, she wouldn't make that much money off of it. It may be the smartest thing she's ever done.

It's amazing that people take this woman seriously, nevermind that she was actually in charge of a state.

I am wondering if the book will wind up being a highly effective populist call to arms and will sway a great number of dissatisfied voters to reject incumbency no matter what the party affiliation.

Remember, Palin gained great credibility and popularity by removing corrupt Republicans before she took on the Democrats. She is really an independent reformer more than she is a Republican Party loyalist.

My thoughts, and the polls confirm this, are that the country is ready to chuck the whole gaggle of self serving politicians now in power out and start fresh. Obama, the Ineffective One, represents one direction and Palin represents the other. That is why Obama waged his campaign against Palin and not McCain.

Sorry, partisans, your flackery is not going to be worth beans if this underlying dissatisfaction finds a coherent voice. And Palin might just be that voice, if not the actual politician that rises to represent this broad dissatisfaction.

Books are still powerful. They are espousals of ideals and of intent. Some serve to confirm entrenched positions and others serve to break them down. My guess is that Palin's book will attempt the latter.

No, books written by well known people with 53% unfavorable ratings do not sway popular opinion. Republicans will buy her book by the truckload, some of the rest of the people will buy it to look at the train wreck and be turned off by it's self serving narrative.

Oh, and Obama did not campaign against Palin because she represented a threat to the established order. (hahahahaha) He campaigned against her because she was a super easy target, her ignorance and stupidity combined to make her the McCain campaign's greatest vulnerability, and because her nomination cut against the central platform of attack that the McCain campaign had been using up to her nomination.

Palin's book will be extremely forgettable, lasting about 1 week's worth of news after its release.

IIRC, The Democrats did not run against her. They did not want to appear to be bullies and make her a martyr.

Ms Palin is politically very polarizing. I agree that a lot of the comments about her have always been unnecessarily personal.

She will sell alot of books. But I will not be buying one.
