Going to California in September

We won't be renting a car at all then. It's just too expensive since I'm 22 I'd have to pay all the underage fees. I also don't trust my CC rental coverage to work out of the country, so I'd have to load up on all the insurances. So we'll be cabbing to everything, really.

Very hard to get around LA without a car. The public transportation there sucks. I know because I've done the tourist thing there by myself both with and without a car. The only places accessible by train are Universal Studios, downtown (which has limited stuff to see), and maybe Hollywood. Disneyland is in a suburb. The taxi ride to get there will be brutally expensive.

EDIT: Reread your last post. Could be doable if you're staying in Anaheim and there's bus service into the city. Not sure how convenient that will be. There's good bus tours of the city so you may want to do that. LA's subway will take you from downtown to Universal Studios.

Day 6 - ??? We haven't decided what to do this day. If it boils down we can't think of anything good, we'll just cut short a day. Maybe if one of the sports teams are in town we'll try and get in and see one, that'd be cool. It's also possible to rent a car just for the day and try to do something outside of town, but I'm not sure what. Maybe Sequoia National Park?

A cool place to go is to Santa Monica or Venice, which is a famous scene of LA they always show in the movies. If you take a guided city tour (many of which seem to leave from around the airport or downtown), they'll take you there.

Consider changing hotels to one in the city once you've seen Disneyland.
