I?m going to Las Vegas next week for the Consumer Electronic Show (CES). It will be my first time to Las Vegas and wanted to know what places I should check out during my off time. I will mostly be free to roam around at night time after the show. I?ll be staying at The Sahara so not sure how close I?m to everything. Also maybe some good but also affordable places to eat. I remember that the Travel Channel had a show about the top 10 places to eat for really low price.

I stayed at the Sahara when I was there in August. Decent place, we only paid $32 dollars a night for a suite on the top floor; it's just an older hotel.

I would definitely go downtown. We had a lot of fun at the Gold Nugget, their buffet is great. For more advice, go to http://www.cheapovegas.com. I used that quite a bit when we were there.

Good luck and have fun! Very fun place!

Go to the Spearmint Rhino and get the All You Can Eat buffet. Best value in town.

That's to fancy for me, but thank you for the suggestion.

What kind of food are you looking for? All the cheap stuff is the same at every "value" hotel. If you like Buffets you HAVE to go to the buffet at the Wynn (I think slightly under $40).

Just looking for buffets and most what the normal people eat. I'm going to CES for my job. Not going for leisure by myself or with a S.O.

The good cheap buffets are in downtown Vegas on Fremont street. You should make sure to visit it when you get a chance.

Everything on the strip seems to be overpriced now.

Yea, for my bachelor party there I got wrecked.

As a side note, never schedule a Vegas bachelor party to go for 5 days :vomit;

Even still, you should definitely try to take advantage of the situation and sneak in a little leisure.

bellagio dinner buffet $35
Ellis Island $4.95 for 10oz steak dinner, including 2 sides. On thurs, it's $3.95 for 16oz porterhouse. :Q

best bang for the buck gormet buffet is the Alladin ~$21.

best seafood buffet is the rio. but their shrimp isnt peeled. For $33, i expect the shrimp to be peeled!

saraha is FAR up the strip. the only casino north of there is the Stratosphere. A little south is Circus Circus. ALOT more south is the rest of the casinos.

Espeically since work should be paying for the meals anyway. Live it up!
