Going to MONTREAL for spring break... need suggestions!

Well looks like this year I'm going to have to settle for montreal due to my financial status. I'll be going up from NJ with a few friends (road trip), and we need ideas! What are some good hot spots in montreal? What part of Montreal should we book our hotel? We want to be as close as downtown as possible so we can walk to most the places straight from the hotel. Anyone else going or have gone before?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!?

1) How old are you?

2) The Metro (subway) is cheap and goes just about everywhere. You can save $$$ by not staying downtown but still being near a Metro station.

I live in burlington Vermont. Been up to montreal for fun about 5 times within the last year or so. I hit the casino first Then you have the bars/stripclubs captial of the world Have you ever been before? Back when I was in college in southern vt, a friend and I from jersey went up randomly in the middle of the week and it was pretty fun. I have no idea on a hotel, sorry can't really help there.

Not sure but its where all the clubs/bars/strip joints are

I would say that St. Cartherne Street is where you want to be.... LOTS OF places there. I am thinking about going up doing break too with some friends... maybe we could have a mini atot meetup up north.

English top 40 dance bars and pubs - Cresent and Bishops Street around St Catherines street
Alternative dance bars - St Laurent above Sherbrooke
French dance bars and clubs - St Denis
Strip clubs - St Catherines around McGill street

st catherine street is the shiznit (just try and not to get syphallis from the air )
Stay away from the docks... unless you like looking for trouble
malls are really cool, underground and stuff
eat at arab joints and just party on man. Enjoy it b!tch... its a celebration
Nargile bars are awsome (wth do people call it Hookah? so stupid)

stay a hostel instead of a hotel.. i stayed here when i went to visit montreal, it was really nice, really clean, and pretty cheap.

plenty to do there, they got some of the best strip clubs i've ever been to! check out mont royal too, great view of the city from there. spend half a day at old montreal, its worth seeing. they have some bike routes along there, if you're interested in that kind of stuff. oh, and dont forget the casino!
