Going to NYC - what to do

Guys,
I went tO NYC about 3 years ago with a friend. I haven't been back. Planning
To go with my bro and sister. I'm flying through lga and plan on going to manhattan and times square. What's good to do in about 5 hOurs ? I am also gonna TakE my slr up there, sO need a good spot to take pics as well. I plan on using bus and sub everywhere. Last I Went, the all day pass was 7-8 bucks. Also, can it be purchased at the airport ?

time square, apple store, empire state building, coffee/breakfast near Rockefeller Center... that should be enough for 5 hours... central park if you have time. Yes, you can get pass at the airport station.

Yeah i think everything you guys have said is pretty much what i am going to do. Does the Q33 still go from LGA to jackson heights ? I google mapped it and it keeps on popping up the M60 from LGA on to the N.

Rockefeller center is def a addition. Trying to hit up MSG and NBA Store as well.

on the MTA website, i couldn't find a one day pass anymore. I remember i got one for about $7 last time, I think ill need 2.15 to get on the bus from LGA anyways.

There are one or two buses that run from LGA to the N or R lines. You might have to pull up individual subway schedules to get a better idea of where transfers are possible.

As for fares: it's $2.25. I don't think they offer a one-day pass anymore. Just buy a Metrocard with a few bucks on it, as single-trip tickets are $2.50 and have limited to no transfers between subway and bus.

NBA Store on 5th Ave closed down some months ago.

Just take the M60 to the N. You'll be in midtown in less than half an hour.

Visit Columbus Circle, eat at the Bouchon Bakery, get a nice view of the park.

Jump back on the train. Go home.

MTA does not sell single day passes. Private retailers do.

Otto's, Mario Batali's place on 8th Street off 5th Avenue. You can then
explore Washington Square Park. some of the Village, maybe Chinatown.

definitely hit chinatown, bring a lady friend with you, buy some knocked-off LV/gucci purses, rolex watches sell them when you get back home (wherever that is) for a boat load of profit. Offer them about 1/3 of the price they ask for those items. I made around 500 bucks last summer from that. My wife's friends couldn't afford the real things so they all asked her to bring them back and paid us "gas" money. Those items look totally legit to un-trained eye. Will go up there again in about a week.
