Congrats on day 3. Just remember to never give up hope. I also smoked for 10 years, and the first 3 weeks of quitting were hell!!! I didn't use the patch myself, I used Zyban. Can't say which is better, I think it depends on the person.
Just remember the reasons why you want to quit, and as long as you keep them in focus, you will make it. The longer you're without, the better off you are. Eventually, you'll forget why you even wanted to smoke (although I will not lie to you, you'll want one anyway)
Keep strong, have faith, you can and will do it. If I can quit, anybody can.
