Amazon has a new thing, don't know if anyone else has noticed. Look in the upper right corner for the treasure chest. Click on it, log in with you account, then you get 5 deals, one at a time, that have added savings. Got a nice cuisinart food processor (old one just broke) for 62% off. I think you can do it once a day, but the deals only last 60 minutes and you can only view them one at a time, rejecting one forever before being able to view the next. Never know what you'll get. A friend got a couple things similar, but not all.

ha.. I just found this myself today. All my offers sucked, there were all for power tool stuff, what gives with that? I've only ordered electronics from them and they offer me drills and stuff.

I checked and got a bunch of crappy deals. About 3 of the 5 was some kind of Mp3 CD Player... uhhh too bad I already have a 128MB Mp3 Player... never bought anythign dealing with portable players from there either. Some regular Siemens phone which wasn't so hot... and a Digicam well over my budget and still not that hot.

Anyhow, managed to get this shaver for $49 shipped. I haven't been able to find it for < $140 (with coupons & etc.)

It's been a long time since I bought from Amazon. I checked my two accounts today and both had the Gold Box feature. Maybe it's something they only offer to people who haven't bought recently?

Here's the five things I was offered in one of the boxes:

Interesting... if I'm reading the T's and C's correctly, you can only buy one Gold Box item a day, and once you pass one up you can't go back to it. That means you can't check out all five before deciding.

I just purchased something last week with my main account (the wife's), and have the "Gold Box." I logged in with my other account and still have the "Gold Box." The only difference being that because I haven't purchased anything with this second account I can't access any of my gold box discounts. Here is what they say about this:
