i mean.. crucial do or die game... 2/13. my god.

He had a forearm or two on him all night.

Blame the rest of his team for not being able to capitalize.

as opposed to what, Jordan, Bird, Magic had wide open looks with no defenders on them?

he choked big time this series. no excuse. he's the star, not terry, not howard. he should be the leader out there.

It's not entirely Dirk's fault, he was doubleteamed the entire game. Blame the others for not stepping up when their star was doubleteamed. Except Howard, who's a ****** beast.

I'm not even going to give them much credit on that, after such such refereeing BS like calling technicals on Jackson and Davis, especially when Terry started a fight after Jackson simply admitted his foul.

i said it before, MVPs get double and tripled. if you're playing against jordan, bird, or even modern days scorer like nash, kobe or mcgrady, you cannot leave them alone with one defender.

dirk is a great player, don't get me wrong, but his tendencies to choke is very obvious from last year finals and this god awful postseason.

but i do see where you're coming from jordan didn't win any rings until his supporting cast showed up. one thing dirk has to think about is that he's not getting any younger

No, why would it be? It's not all Dirk's fault. The Warriors first of all, played better basketball than the Mavs, but you can't just say Warriors win b/c Dirk sucks.

I blame Dirk for not being able to set up his teamates when he was double teamed...the greats get double teamed and they still find a way to win. I love Dirk (I'm a Nash fan most of all...yea remember they played together!) but you have got to be kidding if you don't think that loss was mostly Dirk's fault. If Stackhouse didn't make those 3 3's or whatever, the score would have been even more ridiculous. Of course you can't say it's only Dirk's fault, but you're trying to remove blame from Dirk. If he's the MVP he doesn't go 2-13 w/ 2 assists (wow 10 boards...over a much smaller lineup...grats). The day you see Nash or even Kobe go 2-13 w/ 2 assists in an ELIMINATION game is the day pigs fly.

I said it's not ENTIRELY dirk's fault. Of course he has to share the blame, but it's unfair to place the burden squarely on his shoulders.

Freakin wow, insane game. I cant believe Dallas threw in the towel 3rd qtr. But, congrats GS! You guys deserve it! I'm sure you'll make it to the WC Finals but I doubt you'll be able to beat Suns/Spurs.

I agree that its not entirely dirks fault. Afterall, he wasnt the only one responsible for giving up 90+ points in 3 quarters.

Oakland is back! The A's won a playoff series last year and now the Warriors! The NFL better watch out for the Silver and Black in 07!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost feel sorry for the Mavs. They probably would have beat any other team in the NBA. But you could see it in their eyes in the 2nd to the last game of the regular season...they were afraid of the Warriors. Without some questionable calls, they would have been swept. The only time I felt the Warriors were vulnerable in the series was when Baron go hurt, but even then they didnt fold. Not even when they were down 21 in game 5. You just knew they were gonna come back and give the Mavs hell. Even when they were out of control, they were doing it at full throttle! I'm so proud of this team...they are fearless!

Marv Albert just said, it would be the greatest upset in the history of the NBA Finals. That's very debatable. Maybe in the first round, but not all the playoffs.

in terms of win totals it is. mavs are have 25 more wins than the warriors. Unless you can think of some other major upset like a below 500 team beating a #1 seed.

Vegas odds don't count.

I don't think it's accurate to look at total wins, especially considering the injuries at the beginning of the season and the trade. Playoffs are about momentum, and right now the Warriors are a very hot team.

I'm so happy

Ok I know Oakland is blowing up on the map right now, but I think you're getting a little carried away with the Raiders
