Good Advice Thread

I think young people today don't listen enough to their elders. Alot of posts here are YAGT etc so I am starting a thread to post tidbits of wisdom. Post your advice (can be short or long) and so that possibly someone that is searching through the forums looking for advice can find it.

Here it goes for me:

Don't ever make a decision for a girl. Decide what YOU want to do first and find a girl it can work with.

If you're "thinking about breaking up with her" there is a reason. It's good or you wouldn't be considering it. If it was "meant to be" you'd be thinking of a solution instead. Get it overwith, learn from the situation and do it better next time.

actually that is good advice. i am terrible at dancing. but boy does my wife enjoy it when we go. as most women do.

Yea, my girlfriend loves to dance when we go to clubs. I personally don't like clubs and I don't like dancing. But once I have a few drinks, I start moving in ways I normally don't move. And my girlfriend falls in love with me all over again.

Here is some advice that I usually give my friends on different subjects:

Don't do things you don't want to do. Don't let your friends force you into stuff. If they like you any less because of your decisions, they aren't friends.

Regarding women and serious relationships, do what you think is right. Don't ask others for help on getting a number or asking someone out, just do what you want to. Don't make it harder than it really is.

Everything is an opinion. In the classic argument "Coke is better/worse than Pepsi", it is an opinion. When it comes down to it, everything is an opinion. From the way you mow your lawn, to the way you pick up women, to the way you like your coffee, it is all an opinion. Don't let others get you down because they think their way is better than yours. If its working for you, then keep on doing it. If it isn't broke, then don't fix it.
