Good AMEX card with BVG

which card would be the best one for me to use if i want to pricematch a digicam on one of those "sleazy" online stores that only sell you the camera if you buy a whole bunch of accessories... i'm fairly new to the concept of bvg and i'm not sure how hard it is to pull something like that off. thanks in advance...

That's the polite non-committed denial message. Over the years, I've recieved that msg twice.

Well in fact I did get approved...maybe they ran a criminal history, fbi check or who knows what. But they called a week ago or so. I got my card in the mail last friday. Now I'm ready to buy a P4 2.53 $243( I heard price cuts will come early November once again) or a Althon 2200+ or above of course using BVG.

So, it's past Sept. 1st, and I still have received no notice that BVG is canceled on my Optima card.
Did anybody else?
I don't want to call and bug them about my benefits, but I might be buying some stuff soon, and want to know if I'm protected....

I bought a monitor on the 2nd of sept and called for a pricematch on the 3rd and was told BVG was cancelled on sept 1 for optima. Then they called back and said there was a mixup and to fax my paperwork in. It is now in review and looks like it will be approved. I have optima platium so I dont know whats going on at this point.

I just used the private payments 2 weeks ago.

Anyone got a confirmation on the Optima card dropping the BVG? I just got the Optima card to replace my Blue. If the BVG is cancelled already, I'm cancelling both accounts at the same time. Well.. As soon as I pay off my blue account ($500).

Right now there's a deal on WD 120 gig Hard Drive.
Is it possible for me to buy 2 drive and get BVG 2 times since I buy 2 identical stuff but of course on not in the same time?

Cool I just received my amex starwood card. Is it true that the first year is free of cost? It didnt say anything in the documentation. Just for clarification this card has BVG correct?

I just recieved my blue card a couple of weeks ago, and it stated in several places in the welcome packet that it still carries the bvg.

ModestFever, i am about 99.99999999% sure that BVG is cancelled for amex blue. Call the BVG number and ask. I have seen posts on FW also stating that BVG comes in the statment for blue, but that it was discontinued... I have been a member of blue since before i knew about BVG...since then i've racked up like 20k membership rewards pts...and i'm a freakin student! Now i'm gonna have a ton of starwood points...hopefully they will be useful as well

I have the ClickCiti card, and they do reissue them, but I don't think they take new ones. Mine expires in 2002, and they reissued me one take doesn't expire for quite a few more years.

I wasn't aware of the price protection benefits on my ClickCiti, could anyone who has a copy of the terms maybe scan them and post them somewhere? Or else PM me so I can give them my email? I had a page bookmarked that listed the Clickciti's benefits and stuff, but it seems that Citi is trying to bury the memory of the Clickciti, and the page is gone now and I can't find anything similar on their new page. So any information anyone could provide would be great, even anacedotal, this-is-how-I-used-it stuff.
