If they do good, I tip good. If they come to my table once the whole time I'm there and generally do a sh!tty job, then I either don't leave anything or I leave a dollar or something. I am usually a pretty good tipper, cause if you are nice to them, they are nice to you.

I base my tips on the level of service and quality of the goods/service I receive.

Good service/quality = good tip
Bad service/quality = no tip and a smirk

Hmm... well, I usually tip. In fact, I always tip - unless the person does a down right terrible job. Then they get a lot less. If it's unbelievably bad service, they don't get jack. Now... if the person expects me to give a tip, and I don't for whatever reason, and I happen to go back (not likely considering my reasons for not tipping), I won't ever tip again there.

Tipping, itself, is a little overrated. My girlfriend brought in just under $80 in tips her first night. After mandatory tipping to her busser and barkeep, she brought home about $60.

...that's ON TOP OF what she gets per hour, which is $6,50. She's well enough off for working part time.
