good bedbug spray for travelling?

i'm looking through amazon right now i'm kinda :hmm:

now i'm starting to realize I can't pull that off because the items are too poisonous. My hope was to spray the existing bed, lay down some sheets I got from the 99 cent store, and be done with it.

Best bet is to not stay in a shady motel. I made the mistake of staying in a crappy one last fall in California, came back to New York and had over a hundred little bites all over me causing inflammation. Benadryl helped some, but my arms hurt and itched pretty bad for 2 days.

Luckily, I didn't bring any bugs back - I think the heat of the drive from California to Vegas killed any buggers that might have hitched a ride on my luggage or clothes in my pack in the trunk of the car.

well its not a shady motel. its a hostel in hawaii (unless that is the definition of shady ) and i'm thinking how maybe a couple of the 100 reviews of the place did mention some bed bugs, and i'm also thinking about what people bring in and take out as they go around.

Filter grade can cause silicosis if you breath it in. Not fun.

Consider "Transport" from FMC Corp. I purchased some from a local all-you-can-eat pest control store. When I asked how safe it was the seller told me that it was very safe, so much so that it is approved for the treatment of bedbugs.

Seriously, DE is amazing.

Pull the bed out a foot from the wall and make a fucking thick ass line around the whole bed. Then spray the shit out of the mattress and sheets. Housekeeping can and will take care of the mess no problem.

My suggestion is to just relax, enjoy your trip and dont even think about bed bugs.

Then when you return home before you actually enter your home liberally douse your luggage in gasoline and burn it to the ground along with the clothes you came back in, and go through a military grade biohazard cleaning

If I were an evil genius, I would spend years in a deep underground lab genetically engineering bed bugs with ants to get that trait where once or twice per year they go into a colony spreading phase, where some of the bed bugs grow wings ans have this big mating orgy and then fly off to other houses - spreading their infestation.

One house infested in a town spreads bed bugs to every other house within a few years
