Who among you tards can answer these questions?I'm almost positive that the majority of the drivers don't use them for anything except daily commutes, or anything else that a normal car could not do. That's why the whole situation disgusts me.
- What is the "intended use" of a Corvette Sport Coupe?
- What is the "intended use" of a Dodge Viper?
- What is the "intended use" of a Ferrari 360?
- What is the "intended use" of that cute spoiler on the back of your ricemobile?
- What is the "intended use" of the ground effects of your ricemobile?
- What is the "intended use" of the 17" rims of your ricemobile?
I... but...That wouldn't have happened with a vehicle with a lower center of gravity.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Besides the street racing rice-mobiles, I would say very rarely. I would also have to say the last time I saw an SUV harm someone was when my mom's 93 Grand Cherokee bit me.Do those endanger other people? And since when do people use Ferrari 360s and Vipers as daily drivers?? Are you insane?

When's the last time you DIDN'T see a ricer weaving in and out of traffic putting everyone on the road in harm's way? The book said SUV drivers are inconsiderate morons who don't know how to drive. All the tools who put that crap on their car think they're the $hit and drive their car like it's the $hit. It sure as hell endangers other people

Right, it was the -vehicle's- fault.Originally posted by: Pliablemoose

I'm going to hold out for the sequel: Dump Trucks - REALLY The World's Most Dangerous Vehicles. I was driving to work this morning and realized that the bumper of my SUV could easily slide under the back of a dump truck. Factor in the high center of gravity (especially when they're carrying a load) and the poor braking and handling; it's a wonder that these deathtraps are permitted on the roads at all.
They are -all- potentially dangerous vehicles. No need to single out SUVs. You can just as easily kill someone with a Mini. Unless I'm mistaken, every state in the US requires drivers to pass both a written and driving test to prove their ability to drive safely before being issued a license. Granted, there are irresponsible drivers all over the country, but they aren't limited to driving SUVs. By the same token, there are -responsible- drivers all over as well, and they drive everything from Minis to dumptrucks, including your dreaded SUV. Believe me, I've encountered idiots driving every vehicle imaginable. If you think driving a car attracts idiots, try commuting on a motorcycle.OK, let's put a yuppie soccer-mom, or an jerkoff driver who's tying to get to work behind the wheel of that dump truck, and your argument is valid. The point is, any idiot can drive one of these things, without properly knowing the ins and outs of controlling it. I could care less about who buys what, but if there's a potentially dangerous vehicle that anyone has access to on public roads, you're damn right I'm gonna show some concern.
Actually it really is a good comparison. As I see it, people choose to buy SUV's because they can/want to, and they have an effect on other ppl, only negative. Smoking pot may be illegal (does that make it immoral? no) but when it comes down to it, it is my money, it is my lungs, AND it has little no no effect on other people.

Most ricers actually drive like sane people unless they have friends in their car. Then they try to show off. Anyways, at least they're alert to what they're doing unlike the dumb soccer mom talking on the cell phone going 80km/h on the highway holding everyone up or worse weaving from lane to lane without even realizing it (seen both, quite often. Mostly with minivan and SUV drivers, less often with sedan drivers).
